About Me

As a new dad I have I am finding there is always learning to be done.  Since becoming a parent I have experienced situations and learned things I never would have dreamed about. Being a parent is essentially a whole new way of doing things. Anyone who has children now or has had children can relate I’m sure. The first few years let’s call them the learning years, they are as much a crash course for parents as they are for that new addition. I have a son named Pierce and my name is Tad, hence tadthedad.com. My aim is to post useful everyday information for all to reference. Simple yet useful information and facts, which I have gained by, first hand experience and sometimes learned the hard way.

I’m 28 years old and my son is 5 mo. old. I have a lot to learn, but I like to think I can be hip and humorous and manage being a father at the same time. Time and this blog shall tell… Besides parenting tips, this blog will feature wine and cigar critiques along with an editorial on the occasional outing. Urban or rural, I love to get out and do things in this great piece of country we live in, the Pacific Northwest. Traveling day trips with Pierce and camping, hiking, are just a few of my favorite activities. These are the things I will be reporting on and critiquing. If you have a question or an inquiry, there’s a chance tadthedad has been there and done that so please let me know.  I am tad at tadthedad dot com or @tadthedad on Twitter.
